We have a exciting opportunities for Support Workers to join our friendly and experienced team at Whalley Road in Lancashire, a specialist residential home providing nursing care, support and rehabilitation to adults with a mental illness or learning disability.

We understand that all the people we support have different needs, so alongside their key workers, families and medical professionals we ensure that the support we provide, is bespoke in every detail.

At Whalley Road we offer residency for up to 9 people to stay with us, allowing them to fully focus on their recovery.  There is a large lounge area allowing for residents to convene and to interact in a communal setting during their recovery.  We have a large secure garden where residents are encouraged to cultivate plant lift whilst learning new skills in the process!

What you'll be working:

​​​​​​ We can be flexible, if you are looking for part time or full time, your hour are based on a shift rota basis.

  • The service provides care 24 hours per day, 7 days per week

What you'll be doing:  

  • Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two way
  • Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme
  • Establish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessary
  • Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
  • Communicate any issues to the clinical team
  • Accurately report and/or record work activities

What you'll have:​​​​​​​

  • A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
