We are currently seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to work 1:1 with a bright and resilient a 13-year-old girl living with a brain injury and complex learning needs in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

The child is currently out of formal education and requires a nurturing, structured, and person-centred approach to learning.

What you'll be working:

Part time role
Working 4 hours per week
Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Salary: Competitive and negotiable dependent on experience

Start Date: As soon as possible

What you'll be doing:

Provide tailored educational support in a safe and supportive home or community setting.
Develop and deliver engaging, creative learning activities aligned with the child’s cognitive and emotional needs.
Focus on building trust, confidence, and core academic and life skills at a pace suited to the child’s development.
Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and other professionals involved in the child’s care.

What you'll have:

Proven experience supporting children with SEN, particularly brain injury, or learning difficulties.
Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to education.
Patient, compassionate, and flexible teaching style.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
Ability to work independently, with a child-led and needs-led approach.
Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (e.g., QTS, HLTA, SEN diploma/certificates).

Desirable:

Experience working outside of mainstream settings (e.g., EOTAS and home education).
Knowledge of assistive technology or alternative communication methods
