Children’s Support Worker – Part Time

Supporting a 10 year old little boy to do golf and scouts on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons


Location: Shrewsbury
Hours: Part time - Tuesday evenings (approx 5.30pm-9.30pm) and Sunday afternoons (approx 3.30pm-6.30pm)
Pay: up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Requirements: We require a driver with a car for this role.


Meet Our Client

Our client is a 10 year old little boy who has cerebral visual impairment. Due to his visual impairment, he needs supervision, prompts, reminders and support with navigating unfamiliar environments.

He lives at home with his mum and twin sister.

We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to take our client to do activities to include golf and scouts.

You must be a driver with a car to take him to these activities.



When you'll be working

  • Tuesday evenings: approx 5.30pm-9.30pm

  • Sundays: 2-3 hours for golf tournaments in the afternoons (approx 3.30pm-6.30pm)

  • More hours will be available in the school holidays. There will also be scope to expand hours in the future as care package may increase

  • We also have additional hours available in our other packages in Shrewsbury on an ad hoc basis, to cover when the regular support workers are off on holiday/sickness (these packages hours are weekdays 8.45pm-3.15pm / 10am-2pm)


In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract.
