Make Every Day Matter — Join Our Person-Centred Care Team!

Tamworth | up to £13.25 per hour

Do you want a career where you truly make a difference — one that’s rewarding, meaningful, and full of heart?
We’re looking for compassionate, reliable Support Workers to join our Care in the Home team, supporting a friendly, independent man living with a spinal cord injury in his own home in Tamworth.

This isn’t just about care — it’s about empowering independence, building trust, and being part of life’s moments.

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.

Why You’ll Love This Role

Every day is unique — whether you’re helping your client enjoy fresh air in the community, joining him on family holidays and adventures (travel and accommodation fully covered!), or simply sharing everyday moments that make life meaningful.

You’ll be supporting someone who is active, positive, and full of life — and you’ll be part of a small, close-knit team that truly values person-centred support and mutual respect.

Your Role:

  • Provide personal care, medication support, and use of clinical equipment
  • Assist with moving and handling
  • Drive your client to appointments, outings, and activities (Full clean UK driving licence required)
  • Join family trips and holidays, creating shared experiences and lasting memories

What We’re Looking For:

  • A kind, caring, and patient nature
  • Reliability and a genuine commitment to person-centred care
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Regular availability to ensure continuity of care
  • Full clean UK driving licence (international licences not accepted due to insurance criteria)

What’s In It For You:

  • up to £13.25 per hour on a flexible zero hour contract (depending on experience and qualification)
  • Flexible shifts – Days (8am–8pm) or Waking Nights (8pm–8am)
  • Part-time (24 hrs) or Full-time (36–48 hrs)
  • Specialist training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support from our Care Manager
  • Consistent rotas – plan your life with confidence
  • Accrued holiday pay & Nest pension
  • Recognition awards for outstanding contribution
  • Refer a Friend Scheme – earn up to £1,500
  • Career progression within one of the UK’s leading complex care providers

At Active Care Group, we want everyone to feel welcome and supported. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment or interview process, just let us know and we’ll be very happy to discuss this with you.

Join us today and build a career that’s not just about care — it’s about connection, purpose, and making every day count.
