Join our brand-new team in Warwick – make a genuine difference every day

Do you love helping people live life their way?
Looking for a role that’s flexible, rewarding, and built around meaningful one-to-one support?

If that sounds like you, we’d love to welcome you to Active Care in the Home – part of the UK’s largest provider of complex care.

About the role

We’re looking for a male Live-In Support Worker to join our warm, supportive team in Warwick, supporting a male client in his family home.

This is a truly person-centred role, providing one-to-one support to a man living with a spinal cord injury. He has limited mobility and requires assistance with all aspects of daily living, but with the right support, he continues to enjoy life both at home and out in the community.

He’s sociable and enjoys spending time with others—whether that’s heading out for a drink, relaxing with films, or gaming on his PlayStation. He tends to keep later hours, usually staying up into the early morning and starting his day in the afternoon.

Building a genuine connection is key in this role, so sharing or taking an interest in his hobbies will go a long way in creating a positive and supportive environment.

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing high-quality, person-centred care
  • Supporting with daily routines, personal care, moving & handling, medication, and bowel management
  • Delivering specialist clinical support (full training provided)
  • Preparing meals and helping maintain a comfortable home environment
  • Supporting social activities, hobbies, and outings
  • Building a consistent, trusting relationship

Working pattern

  • Live-in shifts
  • 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (flexible and open to discussion)

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Kind, reliable, and genuinely person-centred
  • A strong communicator who builds rapport easily
  • Proactive, attentive, and observant
  • Respectful of working within a family home
  • Experienced in care (preferred), though attitude and willingness to learn matter just as much

Due to personal care requirements, this role is open to male applicants only.

What you’ll get

  • £127.50 per day
  • Flexible zero-hours contract
  • Recognition through our Active Awards Programme
  • Refer a Friend bonus of up to £1,500
  • Ongoing training and development with expert clinical support

At Active Care Group, we put people first—both the individuals we support and the teams who support them. We’re proud to be an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident Employer, creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported.

Please note: this role has a Genuine Occupational Requirement for male applicants due to the nature of the care provided.
