Join a Truly Special Care Team in Flintshire

Are you a dedicated Weekend Night Support Worker with your NVQ Level 3—or eager to achieve one with fully funded training?

Role Type:| 13-hour Night shifts (9pm-8am)| Weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday's.

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract.

Are you a compassionate, intuitive carer with a heart for making meaningful connections? Do you believe that care is more than just a job—it’s a calling? If so, we’d love to introduce you to someone truly remarkable.

Meet our Client:

Our client is a vibrant soul who sustained an acquired brain injury (ABI) following a choking incident. Though non-verbal, his personality beams through every smile, every tear, and every shared moment. He lives independently in his own home and is supported by a close-knit, loving family who are actively involved in his care journey.

He’s a wheelchair user, has a PEG, and requires full personal care with double-handed support. Communication is beautifully unique—he understands both Welsh and English and responds with expressive smiles or tears. If you’re someone who can “read between the lines” and connect beyond words, you’ll thrive in this role. What our client Loves:

· Live music (just not too loud!)

· Football & rugby—especially Manchester United

· Laughing along to Brassic and other series

· Trampolining and hydrotherapy

· Prom walks and community outings

· Visits from Mum, Dad, and their adorable dog

What you will Need:

· NVQ Level 3 qualified

· Kind, patient, and emotionally intelligent

· Open to a warm meet & greet with the client and his family before starting

If you’re ready to make a real difference in someone’s life—and be part of a care team that values empathy, humour, and human connection—we’d love to hear from you. Let’s make care personal.

What to look forward to:

  • Up to £14 per hour depending on NVQ level
  • Regular consistent work with set rolling rotas
  • Accrued holiday pay
  • A Nest Personal Pension account
  • We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
  • Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1000 by recommending someone you know
  • ……and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care Group

At Active Care Group we want everyone to feel welcome and supported. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment or interview process, just let us know and we’d be very happy to discuss this with you.
