We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced live-in female carer to support a male client with C4/5/6 complete tetraplegia and scoliosis, based in Reading, Berkshire, where he lives alone. The role involves providing consistent, high-quality daily living support within a safe, respectful, and supportive home environment that promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
What you'll be doing:
- Assistance with all aspects of personal care (including hoisting, washing, dressing, grooming)
- Support with mobility and safe transfers
- Support with bowel and bladder care routines (as trained/required)
- Assistance with meal preparation and hydration
- Housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe living environment
- Supporting social activities, appointments, and community access
- Overnight presence and assistance as required in a live-in capacity
When you'll be working:
- Rolling rota - 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.
While this role is offered on a zero-hours contract, shifts are typically stable and consistent, giving you reliable working patterns within a dedicated care package.
